A new arrival!!

Excitement along the North Wall yesterday with the arrival of a Pectoral Sandpiper...a very nice bird and still there this morning creating quite a bit of interest from the local birding fraternity! Just too far away for a good photograph but no doubt someone will digiscope it!

Sandwich Tern

Lots of Swallows arriving off the sea and a few Terns moving along the coast. Reed and Sedge Warblers now VERY noisy with Chiffchaffs and Lesser Whitethroats in good voice!

Just one Brent Goose in the harbour!

Hello Pagham Birder, Greetings from the Isle of Wight. Great blog you have here, which I have just begun to explore. Superb bird and habitat photos and descriptions. Very atmospheric. Looking back to your January 6th post - amazing ice. Is that the Nab tower on the horizon in the red sky photo? I can just about see the Nab from the beach here in Sandown Bay.

Hi there Rambling Rob
No ...its not the Nab...we cant see the nab from our position..i think it is probably a passing tanker 'end on'. That view was taken looking SE ...we can see the IOW most days when not too hazy when looking SW. However, greetings from Pagham...enjoyed your blog.
